Transcripts of manuscripts relating to Hessians from the Murhardsche Bibliothek der Stadt Kassel und Landesbibliothek, made for A.J. Wall in 1924. They comprise a full transcript of the journal of the Hessische Feld-Jäger-Corps under the command of Johann Adolph von Wurmb (July 23, 1777 - April 20, 1785), Ms. Hass 166, and extracts from this manuscript and from five other manuscripts in the same collection, Ms. Hass 160, 164, 165, 169, and 188, mainly describing operations in the vicinity of New York City. The other manuscripts, respectively, deal with the records of the Hessische Grenadier-Battaillon, February 16, 1776 - May 24, 1784, kept by Carl Bauer; the records of the Grenadier-Battaillon olim von Minnigerode, modo von Loewenstein, January 20, 1776 - May 17, 1784, kept by F.A. Ungar; the records of the Regiment von Huyn, nachhers von Benning, 1776 - mid-November, 1783, kept by G. Kleinschmidt; the records of the Fusilier-Regiment von All-Lossberg, kept by Heusser; the records of the Fusilier-Regiment von Lossberg, 1776-1783,kept in diary form by Adjustant Piel.
